Itinerary

Day 1

Glasgow

Welcome to Glasgow!

Upon arrival, you will be met by your private chauffeur and transferred to your hotel. Set out on an orientation tour of the largest city in Scotland. Enjoy views of the People’s Palace and Winter Gardens, the regal George Square and River Clyde, which for over 200 years was the centre of shipbuilding. Spend your evening at leisure, stretch your legs on the Gleddoch Championship Golf course or warm up for your trip on the state of the art driving range.

Day 2

Golf and Prestwick

After enjoying breakfast, drive to the nearby coastal town of Prestwick. Founded in 1851 - Prestwick is the birthplace of The Open Championship and remains one of the best golfing experiences in the world. A classic links course carved out of the dunes, Prestwick went through a major redevelopment in 1999, cementing the course as one for all serious golfers to tick off their list. Enjoy a visit to the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. Explore the museum which houses more than 5,000 Burns artifacts including his handwritten manuscripts.

As on all days of the trip, non-golfers, are taken care off from pre-booked unique local experiences to memorable iconic sights, your private chauffeur is there to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Day 3

Glencoe, Loch Ness & on to Inverness

Begin your journey towards the Highlands. Travel through Glencoe aka “Glen of the Weeping” – the site of the infamous massacre of the Macdonald Clan in 1692 and one of the most magnificent natural regions in Scotland. Stop at the Commando Memorial near Fort William for breath-taking views of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis and continue along the banks of Loch Ness stopping to visit Urquhart Castle. Next up, enjoy an afternoon cruise on the famous Loch Ness (keeping your eyes peeled for Nessie, of course!). Later arrive in Inverness, the capital of the majestic Highlands.

Day 4

Golf at Castle Stuart and/or Highland Sightseeing

Take to the green for a round of golf at the stunning Castle Stuart Championship course. The spectacular setting overlooking the Moray Firth presents a memorable seascape punctuated with local landmarks such as the Kessock Bridge, Chanonry Lighthouse, Fort George and Ben Nevis. Enjoy a day of Highland sightseeing at its best. Head out for a day of sightseeing that will take you back into Scotland’s rich and sometimes turbulent past. Then on to visit the battlefields of Culloden.

Day 5

Journey to St Andrews (2 Nights)

Today travel through Cairngorms National park stopping at the Glenlivet Distillery for a tour and of course a “wee dram.” Next, continue through the stunning countryside before arriving at your next stop Glamis Castle. Glamis castle is famed as being the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, birthplace of HRH Princess Margaret and the setting for Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. This evening arrive in St Andrews known around the World as being the “Home of Golf “. The ruins of the Castle dating from 1200 are still evident today. The University was established in 1410 and is the oldest university in Scotland.

Day 6

The Home of Golf St Andrews

Golfers enjoy a round of golf on the Castle Course at St Andrews Links. The Castle Course opened in 2008 becoming the seventh course in the town and part of the largest public golfing complex in Europe. Set on a rugged cliff-top with spectacular views over St Andrews, The Castle Course offers a memorable golfing experience.

After your golf finishes you will enjoy a food walking tour. This sees you take in five venues for food tastings with three of the stops also having drink tastings. This experience allows you to support sustainable food experiences and responsible consumption. By the end of the tour, you will have enjoyed locally sourced food and drink and have a particularly good understanding of what makes so many people visit St Andrews.

Day 7

Return to Edinburgh

During a comprehensive tour of Scotland’s capital, visit Edinburgh Castle perched high above the city, see the Royal Mile and admire the Georgian architecture in the New Town. Finally visit Holyrood Palace, home of Mary Queen of Scots and residence of Her Majesty the Queen when she is in Edinburgh. Later embrace your inner Scot with a traditional evening of song, dance and Scottish fare.

Day 8

Gullane Golf Club & Local Sightseeing

Today will see you enjoy a round of golf at Gullane Golf Club. This is one of Scotland's most prestigious member clubs, mixing the finest tradition with some of the most admired natural links land in the world. Gullane is blessed with superb turf and a climate that allows all year-round golf. Their championship courses offer dramatic coastal views and a golfing challenge to savor. Laid out over prime seaside land, the three golf courses are simply known by number reflecting their age.
